Mercedes C63S AMG Rotawäch Car watch Wheel Watch

Thoughts on the new 2024 Mercedes C63 AMG

While I wouldn't necessarily call myself an AMG enthusiast, I can definitely appreciate a good car when I see one. I have always liked them but they've never been number one on my favourites list. However, the new C63 might be the one to change my mind...

It has some seriously sleek design both inside and out and is a real attention grabber. From a distance, it does look a bit too similar to the E63 and CLA 45 but close up is when you can really appreciate the detail.

Unfortunately, the options are limited to a few shades black, white, and blue. Personally, I like my performance cars with a bit more variety in colour, I know you can wrap or get a respray but I think it's nice to have it factory-painted.

Inside, the design is a huge improvement over the last generation. The screen is much more integrated dash vs before on the it looked like an iPad screen added onto the dashboard as an afterthought.

Now, let's discuss the major shift from a V8 to a hybrid 2-litre engine. The brutish sound is gone, but times are changing to more fuel efficient, quieter cars. Nearly 700 horses from the hybrid engine is quite a chunk, possibly making up for the loss of the sound.

Those 20" cross-spoke alloys are a cool design upgrade from the last AMG wheels, but I'm not a fan on the silver lip, I would have it matched in black as well. We would like to Rotawäch them in the future, I have a feeling this wheel might be available as an option across many AMG cars, so a Rotawäch would apply to many upcoming AMG Mercs.
